It’s been six months since the release of It, and we’re still reeling from the powerful Stephen King adaptation. With its stellar cast of children fighting Bill Skarsgard’s terrifying clown Pennywise, it was a huge near-Halloween horror flick. The sequel, It: Chapter 2, is set 27 years after the first film, so its cast is all grown up. And it’s also downright stellar!

According to Variety, Andy Bean is the latest actor to join the cast of It: Chapter 2, as Stanley. A relative newcomer to Hollywood, he currently stars in Here and Now. The role of Stan was previously played by Wyatt Oleff in the first film. In case you don’t remember, he’s the son of a rabbi and the most skeptical member of the Losers Club.

Bean is actually one of the least famous people in the upcoming horror sequel. Besides Skarsgard reprising his role as the clown-like entity, the cast is absolutely mindblowing.

The leader of the Losers Club, Bill, will be played by X-Men actor James McAvoy, taking over from Jaeden Lieberher. The role of Beverly went to Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain, just as child actress Sophia Lillis wanted. Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader plays funny guy Richie, previously Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard. Sinister actor James Ransome will take on the role of Eddie, previously Jack Dylan Grazer.

As GamesRadar reports, there are still two members of the Losers Club left to cast. Mike, the role originated by Chosen Jacobs, and Ben, first played by Jeremy Ray Taylor. The two child actors chose Chadwick Boseman and Chris Pratt, respectively, to play the adult versions of their roles. Hopefully, we could have an Avengers: Infinity War get-together!

There’s no news on other roles, such as the characters’ spouses, officially cast in the sequel. It: Chapter 2 is set 27 years after the 1988-1989 events of the first film. So far, it’s unclear whether the child actors will return for flashbacks – one can hope!

Filming for It: Chapter 2 is set to begin sometime this summer, with Andy Muschietti returning as director. The sequel is scheduled for a September 6, 2019 release date.
